The Pedestrian Alert System can be fitted to almost any forklift truck and detects the presence of a pedestrian, via an RFID active tag worn by workers onsite at all times, to help reduce the number of pedestrian injuries caused by forklift trucks.

The RFID active tags pulse a signal several times every second, activating the system when it enters the adjustable proximity detecting field (approximately 7 metres from a forklift). A clear warning in the form of a beacon, buzzer or LED alerts the driver and pedestrian that they are close.

Transmon Active RFID Driver – Pedestrian Truck Warning System

When the RFID reader detects an Active Tag in perimeter proximity detecting field, it immediately automatically activates the beacon / buzzer / LED driver warning devices.

  • RFID Active Tag key rings worn by all pedestrians
  • Active Tag Must key rings must be worn at all times and policed to enforce this

  • RFID readers are powered via the truck’s battery supply
  • Active tags powered by an integral Lithium battery supply (that will operate for a minimum of two years, dependant on pulse time setting)
  • Batteries should be replaced under a maintenance schedule
  • Driver Fob Management System allows the site manger to assess the condition of the pedestrian or operator Active Tag Key rings
  • Management system accurately informs the supervisor if battery changes are required
  • Optional software allows management to analyse reports and ensure everybody will be detected on site

  • Additional items: Site Fob Verification System, Software Per Site and five year licence

The RFID tag transmitter and receiver station detects the truck’s presence when it enters the proximity detecting field and immediately activates.

  • Truck to Entrance / Area Alert System
  • RFID Active Tag system mounted and powered to the truck’s supply
  • Signal approximately 7 metres in front and reverse of the vehicle
  • Adjustable truck perimeter proximity detecting field
  • Frontal detection adjustable from 0,5 to 6,5 metres
  • Back detection adjustable from 0,5 to 6,5 metres
  • Side detection of up 4 metres
  • Green = standby / safe
  • Red = danger
  • Optional buzzer device
  • Active tags pulse a signal several times every second
  • The Active RFID truck system is powered via the truck battery supply
  • The RFID Transmitter / Receiver requires a 240V power supply, located close to the agreed hazard / high risk area
